Less than two weeks to go! All our plans are falling into place, but I still have a dozen item to-do list, not to mention house and yard tasks that need to be cleared up before I leave. Stress is outdoing excitement at this point!
But really everything is falling neatly into place. Our lesson plans are done; tickets, passports and visas in place. We have arranged to purchase five computers and projectors in Philippines for our team to use in our presentations. The Filipino team has arranged our itinerary, planned the locations, participation and registration for our workshops as well as our accomodation. Sandie will arrive at the airport to meet us. I can't think of anything that is not ready.
The Legacy Project which I will write more about later is forming. We have been very fortunate to have had support from a number of clubs and individuals as we planned a project that would live on after we leave. It is truly heart warming to have that sort of support from home.
Now is the time to begin thinking about our time in Philippines and allow ourselves to feel the excitement of the trip. It's going to be a terrific opportunity to help someone else, work in my profession again and experience another culture.
I can't wait.
